Eli DeYoe is a singer/songwriter/producer from Berkeley, CA. He began writing songs at the age of 13 with an introspective and genuine guy-with-a-guitar sound similar to artists such as Ed Sheeran, Passenger, and Daniel Caesar. He has honed his songwriting, guitar, and production skills through courses at the Berklee College of Music, the School of Creative and Performing Arts in NYC, the Steinhardt School at NYU, random YouTube videos, and the guidance of local musician Kenji Harada. His quarantine baby was a 12-track self-produced demo album called Waiting Patiently, an intimate work composed of original songs recorded and produced with equipment he found around the house.
This project has since been followed up by several singles: Stay Up Tonight, Inside Your Eyes, What Comes After, and Whatever You Need, with production and video work in collaboration with Kenji Harada. He has also been seen busking around Downtown Berkeley, 4th Street, and local farmer’s markets as well as playing shows and open mics at local spots such as Sweetwater Music Hall, The Freight and Salvage, Bay Street, The Starry Plough, La Cocina, and Riggers Loft.
Currently, Eli is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Music Industry at UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music while wrapping up production on his debut album, The Start Of Forever. The 12 songs on this album exhibit the artistic growth he’s experienced since he first began, incorporating elements of indie rock, bedroom pop, and electronic music. The Start Of Forever drops April 26th.
